Emerald Desert RV Resort

We arrived here yesterday afternoon after an uneventful drive from Santa Maria Elks. Traffic was light to moderate for the six hour drive. We fill up at a Valero truck stop just south of King City. When we arrived here at Emerald Desert, we still had a little over half a tank left. We are going to try to avoid stopping for fuel until we get into Arizona where diesel is below four dollars, at least it was today.

Our site is surrounded by green lawn and we have a large patio.

We drove over to Palm Springs, about a ten minute trip, and stopped for lunch at the Blue Coyote.  We had lunch here several years ago. They have several seating area and we ate in the front patio. The weather yesterday and today has been around 80 degrees with a light, cool breeze.

On the way back we stopped at a upscale market a pick up a couple filet steaks for dinner but after the big lunch we didn’t get that hungry so we’ll try again tomorrow. The forecast for tomorrow is high wind.  Our next door neighbor planned to leave tomorrow but because of the wind they are staying another night.
