Gila Bend

We left Amado yesterday morning around 10:00am and headed toward Gila Bend, AZ. We headed north on I10 and just outside of Tucson turned onto I8 west bound. The traffic was very light and the road was also very good.

We arrived, safe and sound, at Gila Bend around 1:00pm and stopped at Love's Travel center to fuel up. Diesel was 2.06 a gallon. Had lunch at McD's next door to Love's and then drove over to Augie's Quail Trail RV Park and checked in.

The hosts of our Mexico Tour had a happy hour and we met some of the people we will be traveling with.

Here's our site in Gila Bend in the wide open spaces of Arizona. Tomorrow we will be taking a tour of a commercial shrimp farm here. Later in the afternoon we will be attending a briefing meeting.

Ed our tour guide is running down to the boarder to acquire Mexican insurance for the RVs and toads. He and his wife Jan, just returned from several weeks down in Mexico.
