We toured Craigdarroch Castle which was constructed in the 1890's as a family residence for the wealthy coal baron Robert Dunsmuir and his wife Joan. We were free to roam inside the castle. We're now reading a book on Dunsmur's very interesting life. He died a year before the castle was completed. His widow enjoyed the castle for many years.

I don't know the significance of this school myself, but it pointed out to me and I took this picture.

We had lunch in a upscale pub in the downtown area.

We also went to Buchart Gardens and they are indeed beautifull. We had dinner there on the porch.
Tomorrow we will be back in Port Susan
