After leveling and connecting Horizon the three of us headed toward the beach on the trail right from our site. It was cold and extremely windy. The trail was wide and graveled but because of recent rains some spots were under water necessitating a few detours.
Here Debbie is explaining to Ty that its just a little farther.
He’s dragging his feet because he wanted to go a different direction and it defiantly wasn’t toward the beach today. He’s been to beaches numerous times before and, although he doesn't run in the surf, he usually likes the sand and no he doesn't go potty there, at least not yet.
Today he made it this far and after a roll in the sand refused to go forward any farther.
Debbie picked him up and I think the wind was freaking him out. It became much stronger as we arrived at the beach. You can see how dreary the day was.
Ty headed back as soon as soon as Debbie set him down.
Ty did some exploring on the way back.
Ah, a happier cat for sure!
And his favorite thing a tree to climb!
Next time Debbie and I head up to the point where Lewis and
Clark made their West most camp.
