We took a day trip across the bridge over the Columbia River to Astoria, OR.

For lunch we went to the Rouge Public House passing by one of the river pilot boats moored behind a break water.

The Rouge is located at the end of a long one way wooden pier. Yes its misting off and on.

After lunch we drove over to Fort Clatsop which was Lewis & Clark's winter encampment 1805-1806 and has been re-constructed. A trail passes by a statue of Sacagawea.

Now we’re entering the Fort Stevens site. Ty is getting tired of site seeing!

On the way back to camp we stopped and replaced four tires on the Jeep. I have been boycotting French stuff after they refused to allow our bombers to fly over their country on their way to Libya. I remember at the time all the weak-kneed libs went ballistic and threatened terrorist would retaliate. Just the opposite happened and the name Kaddafi disappeared from the headlines! Ops, anyway Ty had to get out of the Jeep while the tires were installed and he loved the waiting area. The tires make great cat forts.

Later back at camp Debbie and I decided to go watch the sunset. I asked Ty if he wanted to go with us but he apparently didn’t want to go.
