It rained all night last night but this morning has stopped and we’re going to venture out to explore Shelton. First is finding breakfast. I found Suzan’s Grill on Yelp and we decided to try it out. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Debbie had the biggest omelet I’ve ever seen. I had biscuits and gravy, three eggs, four bacon strips and hash browns. We both thought our meals were delicious. The service was excellent, my coffee cup was never went below half full. Believe it or not we both brought half of it home. I never have any breakfast leftover.
After a stop at Walmart for a couple of necessities and some fiberfill for a project, hers not mine, we had to make a few more required stops. Today is Monday. Guess what all the important store in town are closed on Monday.
On the way back to the Elks we did find Nettie’s Attic open, a kinda thrift shop, but we didn’t find anything we needed.
The main street into Shelton displaying it autumn colors.
Lumber is the history of Shelton and at entrance to the city is a crosscut of an old, large tree.
The rain started up again when we returned to the Horizon. I just got the Jeep re-connected before it really got started. It rained heavily off and on the rest of the day. . We'll be off tomorrow morning heading to Cape Disappointment State Park . I only have to pickup the jack pads and unplug the water and electricity so if its raining I don’t have too much to do outside.
